Treatment for Lice

What is HEAD LICE ? A fertile adult louse can lay about 5-8 eggs in a day. Even with only one bug in the hair, over 100 eggs can easily be laid in two weeks time. This is good information to know when finding lice in children.
Fewer than 10 eggs found in the hair usually means they’ve had it for under a week. If you are finding large amounts of live lice and many lice eggs, they could have had it for months.
Remember: You won’t actually know how many are in the hair until you start to remove them. Visually inspecting the children will only give you a rough idea of how long they may have had it. Lice is typically contracted during sleepovers, camp experiences, etc. Parents usually have an idea of where it may have come from.
